Born in San Diego, CA 1972

University of Divine Philosophical Sciences, 2011

Chula Vista School for Creative and Performing Arts, 1990

I have no formal education when it comes to art or photography...however I have always had an eye that was easily noticed that got me hired as assistant photographer, video camera operator and live cameras for live TV on WBAM.  Some of my work has been featured in health magazines, online blogs and journals and on walls from Hawaii to Croatia and beyond.  :)

Taking photos with my cell phones is how I am able to semi support myself while homeless and has proven to be a talent I would like to explore further as I am able.  :)

Thank you for taking the time to be here and look at my work.

My goal is to make these photos with my journey into a coffee table book...

About Christie Aphrodite

Hi there!  And thank you for visiting my website.  :)

I'm Christie and I'm not a professional, I'm just a girl who is passionate about preserving moments that sometimes only I am blessed to see.

Taking photos has always been a hobby of mine, but I never actually got paid for it or had the time to do it till I found myself homeless and had to find a way to pay for gas, food and toilet paper.

I signed up on instagram when I was in the hospital from neuroinvasive west nile viral encephalytis and strokes in March 2015 after a brown recluse bite on my neck pushed the poison to cross my blood brain barrier leaving me unable to talk or walk...and losing my memory not even knowing who my neighbors were...

So I found an outlet and renewed my long held passion for sharing beauty and finally had a place to show case it.

I quicky found that I had more than just a hobby and a way to pass time, but that I had a talent and people were willing to pay for my photos!

I did have a little experience previously, but I thought since I could never afford fancy equipment I would never be equipped to capture photos that would capture anyone's eyes but mine...

It was the highest honor to be paid for doing something fun that I felt expressed a mood or moment that will never be seen or felt again.

Who knew that one day taking photos from my cell phone would potentially help me get off the streets!?!?!?!

Brain infections are no joke and I'm happy to be around today to capture more beauty to share with you on this crazy ride!

Please check back as I update and upload some of my thousands of photos.

If you can support me and help me get off the streets by paying for my work, I would be most delighted! :)

Blessings and Love,

Christie Aphrodite
